All of our original soap dishes are hand crafted from #1 yellow pine and measure 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" x 3/4" thick. The edges are beveled and lightly sanded after each dish has been cut in a manner that allows water to drain completely through the dish and away from your soap. Each dish is naturally colored with no stains or preservatives to compete with the colors of your soaps. If you so desire, you can easily stain them to suit your own color requirements. *Please note that there is no glue used in the construction of this dish. It is one solid piece of wood. *The Yellow Pine used to make these dishes has a sap content in the wood itself that helps keep them from becoming waterlogged.
